Caring Connections Executive Board 2011-2012

Nichole McGahey; President

Nichole has been a member of the Caring Connections Executive Board since 2001. She has worked at Bethel Church as the Director of Children's Ministries for 12 years. Before that, Nichole was a fourth grade teacher.

Douglas H. Easer; Vice President

Doug has been a member of the Caring Connections Executive Board since 2005. He has been in the financial services industry for 30 years. Doug is employed with Morgan Stanley as a financial adviser specializing in financial and retirement planning and an active member of the Rotary Club of Bellflower.

Jeanette C. Gosden; Treasurer

Jeanette joined Caring Connections in 1991, three years before we received our first Healthy Start Grant. Besides her involvement on the Caring Connections Board, Jeanette has been the Chairman of a 50 million dollar Credit Union Board since 1983 and a Board member and coach for Southeast Los Angeles Special Olympics since 1988. Most of her professional career has been spent as a Certified Internal Auditor. Later Jeanette expanded her expertise into the role of Certified Fraud Examiner and a self-employed Customized Projects Healthcare Consultant.

Elizabeth Trombley; Secretary

Elizabeth has been on the Caring Caring Executive Board since 2009. She currently serves as the Director of Public Affairs for the Kaiser Permanente Downey Medical Center. Before joining Kaiser Permanente in 2005, Beth served as the Senior Health Policy Analyst for the New York Sate Senate Committee on Health and worked in several non profit organizations. Beth holds a Masters in Public Health from Boston University School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from Ithaca College.

Cindy Van Meeveren; Member

Cindy has been a member of the Caring Connections Executive Board since 2009. She is currently employed by the City of Bellflower as the Volunteer Coordinator.

Mayra Lopez; Member

Mayra has been a member of the Caring Connections Executive Board since 2009. She currently practices as a CPA for Beaver, Menkes & Hass, an Accountancy Corporation in the City of Bellflower. Previous to this position, Mayra was an external auditor for Deloitte & Touche, Los Angeles. Mayra is a member of the California Society of CPA's and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Renett Banagas, Community Services Coordinator

Renett has been a member of Caring Connections as a case manager since 1999  and on the Executive Board as Community Services Coordinator since 2009. She has worked for Bellflower Unified School District for the past fifteen years. She started as a health assistant at Frank E. Woodruff Elementary and then as a case manager where her current position is.
