Spring Basket Program
The Bellflower Volunteer Center works closely with community groups, service clubs, schools, organizations, and residents to provide spring baskets for local families in need. Caring Connections case managers refer the families to the Volunteer Center. There are several ways you can get involved with this program. Volunteer opportunities include:
- "Adopting" a child - You create a basket for a special child based on the information they provide to you.
- Donation of items - Suggested items: School supplies, books, puzzles, games, toys, candy, socks, toiletries, and gift cards. Items must be new and in individual packages.
All donations must be received by March 9, 2015. If you would like to participate in this program please contact Cindy VanMeeveren at the Volunteer Center located at Simms Park (562) 925-9003.
